Press Release (August 28, 2018)

Letter of Interest in Academic Partnership between Al-Ahliyya-Amman University in Jordan and IGU in the U.S.

IGlobal University (“IGU”), accredited by ACCSC and located near Washington, DC, signed a Letter of Interest (LOI) with Al-Ahliyya-Amman University (“AAU”) in Jordan for a Joint Academic Partnership on August 28, 2018.

IGU and AAU will explore and pursue many areas of academic partnership and collaborations, including, but not limited to, the following activities:

  1. IGU and AAU will develop "1+3," "2+2," and "3+1" years for bachelor’s degree programs (BSIT and BBA) and "1+1" year for master's degree programs (MSIT and MBA) for AAU students to pursue accredited U.S. degrees at IGU. IGU and AAU will conduct course-by-course evaluations per program to determine the exact length of AAU student’s academic program at IGU.

  2. IGU and AAU agree to share all the student records, including degrees and academic grades, of each AAU student who graduates from IGU, so that AAU may consider awarding an AAU degree comparable to the IGU degree earned at IGU. As a result of this arrangement, the AAU student will receive a degree from both IGU and AAU and become an alumnus of both IGU and AAU. This special arrangement may be referred to as a “double degree program.”

  3. IGU and AAU will help AAU students start taking IGU courses online in Jordan before they are transferred to an IGU Program.

Dr. David Sohn, President and CEO of IGU will pay a courtesy visit to Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of AAU soon and coordinate the detailed implementation of a long-term, mutually beneficial and rewarding partnership between the reputable higher education institutions in the U.S. and Jordan, respectively.
