Washington University of Science and Technology Signs Historic Academic Agreement with Colombia’s National College of Public Administrators (CCAP)

Alexandria, VA – May 13, 2025 – Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST) proudly announced the signing of an academic collaboration agreement with Dr. Germán Enrique Ramírez Gasca, National President of the Colegio Colombiano del Administrador Público (CCAP), during a special ceremony held on campus.

This milestone partnership aims to promote educational exchange, academic pathways, and joint initiatives between WUST and CCAP, enhancing opportunities for Colombian students in Business and Information Technology.

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished university and community leaders, including:

- Mr. Abubokor Hanip, Chairman and CEO, WUST
- Dr. Hasan Karaburk, President, WUST
- Mr. Jose Ortega, Director of Marketing and Recruitment
- Mrs. Rachele Rose, Director of Institutional Effectiveness
- Mr. Jeffrey Pirim, Vice President of Education
- Dr. Mark Robinson, Dean of the School of Business
- Dr. Aridi Amalisha, Lead Faculty of the School of Business
- Mr. Carlos Uceda, CEO of Uceda Institute
- Mr. Richard Rylander, Vice President of Uceda Institute

The event garnered media coverage from Tu Guia on Telemundo, featuring Reporter Kenia Basilis, who highlighted the growing academic ties between the United States and Colombia. Several Colombian students at WUST shared heartfelt testimonies about their educational experiences and the university’s commitment to supporting international learners.
