Status Update

Dear Current and Prospective students,

WUST has currently been undergoing a renewal of institutional accreditation by ACCSC. WUST submitted its Self-Evaluation Report (SER) in Oct 2021, and as a part of the process, ACCSC conducted onsite evaluation visits in Oct 2022. Following the onsite visit, ACCSC shared the visit report informing us about their findings and giving us an opportunity to address the items of noncompliance/concerns.

The concerns raised by ACCSC primarily revolve around the significant growth of our student population, and events revolving around recent changes of ownership such as a temporary loss of Title IV eligibility (already reinstated), SCHEV audit (successfully completed), and a change of university name.

The commission decided to place WUST on warning with a subsequent review scheduled for August 2023 meeting. Detailed information about these concerns is available on the ACCSC website www.ACCSC.org.

We want to assure you that WUST is taking ACCSC's concerns very seriously. We are fully committed to addressing each concern promptly and efficiently. ACCSC has given us a deadline of June 30, 2023, to respond to and resolve the listed concerns, and we are dedicated to meeting this deadline.

Our team at WUST is working tirelessly around the clock to resolve every concern outlined in the ACCSC report. We understand the importance of these matters and their impact on our students and the overall quality of our institution. Rest assured that we are sparing no effort to address these concerns comprehensively and effectively.

If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or my direct line.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work towards resolving these concerns and ensuring the continued excellence of our institution.

Sincerely,

Dr. Hasan K. Burk

President
